Last chance to weigh in on National Energy Guarantee design

energyrisks

The future of the electricity market – and our ability to get the additional supply that can help bring prices down – may be determined by the National Energy Guarantee now being designed by the Energy Security Board.

The latest detailed design document has been released (see here) and there is a short window for industry and other stakeholders to give feedback before a final design is presented to the COAG Energy Council in August.

Ai Group has been closely involved in the design process and we are hopeful of a final outcome that is very positive for industry. We will be making a further submission before the due date of 13 July.

If you have feedback on the proposals – or questions about how they may affect you – please contact us via tennant.reed@aigroup.com.au and rachael.wilkinson@aigroup.com.au as soon as possible.  We’ll be posting more thoughts on the design and the way forward for the NEG soon.
